I was so pleased & honored to be with all my old shipmates. Besides the sharing of memories & fellowship, with some of these guys it was as if I had seen them just a few weeks ago, not 4 decades +. Then I heard some stories different than I remembered, for which I credit San Miguel.
Plus, I want to say the "crew," employees & volunteers then manning the Midway were great. They treated me well, I truly appreciated the respectful wreath ceremony, & with a live playing of "Taps."
I hope to find my way to another Zapper reunion.
